13 Recreational Projects for Diverse Clients
All work and no play make for a dull life. As counterbalance to the workaday Commercial, Industrial and other busy sectors of life, we have the Recreational market—campgrounds, parks, gymnastics and fitness facilities and the like.
MCR Services has had the good fortune to be involved with some very rewarding projects— among them the major expansion of Wendy’s Gymnastics & Fitness for Children and the new facility and additions for Universal Gymnastics.
We have delivered renovations for a couple of dance studios and a yoga & fitness center and also helped with improvements to Cooper Stadium in Columbus.
To date, we have completed thirteen projects for the Sports & Recreation market, with more planned for the future. The services we’ve provided range from stand-alone scheduling services (primarily offered early in our history) to full-scale Design-Build General Contacting. We’ve performed simple renovations for existing structures as well as major expansions and brand new work.
One of our most remarkable projects was building a log cabin in our own back lot from raw logs and other components. Then we dismantled it and shipped the “bits & pieces” to an unspoiled 1,000 acre wilderness area in upstate New York. During a week of “roughing it,” our crew reassembled the structure in time for a planned event.
Except for this log hunting lodge (designed and constructed for Franklin Mountain Enterprises), all of this work has been in our “home territory” of Central and Southern Ohio.
