The Supper Thyme franchise concept was developed in 2003 by two families in Omaha, Nebraska, to ease their hectic schedules & preserve family meal-times.
In January, 2006, MCR was referred to the Dublin center partners, Kelly Brecht & Heather Rodwell, by one of our Working Partners. We were asked to provide a competitive bid and offer suggestions.
After analyzing the scope and meetings with the partners, we secured the project and commenced work at Karric Square.
Challenges
Adapting Design to Dublin Location
We were provided with a preliminary set of plans and a “shopping list” of items and guidelines. There was still plenty of “wiggle room” and some technical issues that we needed to resolve to make this franchise opportunity work for our clients:
Investigating floor finish systems to come up with the right design and techniques for the center
Working with Singer Wallcoverings to find the best product—in custom colors
Fast-tracked material purchase and production schedule

From Planning to Grand Opening
Supper Thyme currently has 24 franchise locations, with more planned in the future.
The work that MCR did for the local partners in locating the best wallcovering product was subsequently specified for future Supper Thyme franchises.
We were glad to participate in their Grand Opening Gala on 29-Apr-2006 and help them establish a foothold in Central Ohio.
This was the first Meal Prep Center built by MCR Services, Inc.
