The philosophy of Meyers + Associates Architecture is that great design stems from their commitment to genuine and candid architecture.
Their designs reflect a commitment to the environment; so they formed a partnership with the DeVere Company to purchase and restore a deteriorating masonry building into upscale office suites with the intent to relocate to these new offices and have work space that foster a culture encouraging creativity, leadership and responsibility.
Challenges
Two Spaces on a Collision Course
As part of the ownership team for the master renovation of 232 North Third Street, great care was given to uncover the building’s original architectural details. The design changes created opportunities and delays, which were concerning, due to Meyers + Associates’ deadline for vacating their original downtown offices:
The Gay Street offices had been already leased to another firm
Their old landlord was their new landlord and business partner
Working for an architect is never easy … just ask them

Long Relationship Yields Rewards
In 1999, we were introduced to Meyers + Associates, the architect on several of our previous projects. They value the collaborative process of design; embodied by their ‘plus’.
Because of our relationship, we became the obvious choice as collaborators on their new flagship offices. Our Value Engineering opportunities, positioned us to better coordinate their improvements.
Our appreciation for their new ideas—and revisions—allowed them to make their new offices “truly special.”
