On behalf of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Greater Cincinnati Affiliate, I would like to thank you for your fundraising efforts in this year's 9th annual Race for the Cure.
Your commitment to our mission to eradicate breast cancer is very much appreciated. With your help we will continue to fund research, education, outreach and screening programs to find a cure for breast cancer and to deliver the life-saving message of early detection to the Greater Cincinnati/Dayton community.
On a personal note, I will tell you that Kim was the first survivor that I met once I accepted this position. She graciously accepted our nomination as the 2005 BMW Ultimate Drive "Hero" at Voss Village BMW. I remember talking to her and Missy about her son Ryan and her experience with cancer. When I heard she lost her battle only a few short weeks later, I remember thinking, "this is why I took this job". I struggled regarding a career change for many reasons but now I know I'm doing this for a reason. I just wanted you to know, that I know she made an impact on many peoples' lives, she also has a place in my heart and I promise to do all I can to help find a cure for this disease. I have 3 brothers and I know how I feel about them, I can imagine how Kim feels about you and continuing her fight!
